The right equipment can transform a child’s independence, comfort and safety — and the family’s daily routine with it. Assistive technology consultation covers assessing what your child needs, trialling options with suppliers, and preparing the reports the NDIS requires to fund the equipment.
Our director, Luke, has worked extensively with children with complex physical and sensory needs, including Cerebral Palsy, and this experience informs our approach to seating, positioning, mobility and transfers.

How the process works
We start with an assessment of your child’s needs, goals and environment (home, school, car). We then arrange trials of suitable equipment with suppliers, and once the right option is confirmed we complete the assistive technology report and quote request for your NDIS plan. After delivery we check the fit and show you and your child’s carers how to use it safely.

Mobile Therapy Sessions
We offer mobile therapy sessions so that your child is able to work on developing skills required in the home, at school, preschool or while in the community.

Telehealth
Telehealth sessions are available for clients who aren’t able to attend regular face to face sessions and offer flexibility for families who have a busy schedule, are isolating or live remotely.
Assistive Technology Consultation: your questions
Will the NDIS fund my child’s equipment?
Assistive technology can be funded under an NDIS plan when it is reasonable and necessary and supported by an assessment report. We prepare the assessment and report; the NDIS makes the funding decision.
Do you come to our home for equipment assessments?
Yes. Seating, positioning, bathroom and access equipment is best assessed where it will be used, so these sessions are usually mobile.
